I love WD40! Seriously- its like the best thing since duct tape. I mean if it moves and you don't want it to- duct tape it. If it don't move and you do want it to- WD40! And now... the newest use which I had never heard of- it rocks for getting stains out of carpet. And by stains I mean cherry colored wood stain... out of beige carpet.... I was freaking- we just got the whole house redone in preparation for selling it- and then my kids manage to find a can of wood stain and spilled it on the carpet! Not a big area, just dribbles but still- very noticeable. And I knew my hubby was gonna have a heart attack if I didn't get it up.Not to mention he was gonna kill the kids or sell them to pay for redoing the carpet... again.... So after two hours of scrubbing with resolve carpet foam and spray, clorox wipes, and oxyclean (which, incidentally, turns carpet blue if the little power crystals don't fully dissolve) I call a friend who immediately says "WD40" and of course I bust out laughing thinking "the carpets not stuck- its STAINED!!!" she tells me to try it and OMG it worked. One spray on each little drop, scrub and blot with a white cloth and POOF- carpet is back to beige again! That means I don't have to go to jail for killing my hubby to keep him from killing the kids, and the kids get to live another day! YAY! So... as a mom, the things I've learned from my kids? Baby wipes will take permanent marker off most surfaces including computer monitors, and WD 40 gets stains out of carpet and couches! Just figured I'd share... in case you have demons of your own who decide to redecorate for you!
